Re: 40 Ford 1/2 ton pick up trans removal.

I did a clutch replacement last year on the avatar pickup. The trans can be removed from the floor access. The rear end and drive shaft has to be move back about 6" so you have enough room to pull...

Re: Oil Pressure Sender

A Standard Motor Products PS60 has been on my 59AB in the pickup for 12 years. Verified it with a mechanical gauge.

Re: Mart's Update 2021 Episode 19 Part 1&2: The 32 Sedan body goes on!

Good job getting all of that done alone. I don't know if I would have been as fussy about the hardware as you were. I agree with mfirth. Take us for a ride.

Re: 1941 Pickup Interior Install Help

This kit came from Dennis Carpenter. The only place the needed trimming was over the windshield header. The headliner panel slides between the roof and the header. I had to trim about 3/8" off the...

Re: New Rebuild Overheating

How did you set the timing? A stock 59 engine has no timing marks. I have a 59 in my pickup. I had to use a vacuum gauge to set the timing because I have a Mallory electronic distributer. I had...

Re: Where does your 53 Ford run?

My Courier runs in the same range. It's a 6 not a V8.

Door stay diagram for 53 Courier

Does any one have a diagram for the door stay on the rear door of a Courier?
I believe the one on mine is missing some parts.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Disc brake question

Did you install a dual master cylinder when the disc were installed. If not the 10 psi residual valve that is built in to the stock master cylinder keeps enough pressure to cause the discs to drag.

Re: 1941 1/2 Ton dimensions?

The biggest difference is the bed width. ‘40/41 are 46” wide as apposed to F1 @ 48”. You can lay a 4x8’ sheet of plywood in a F1 but not in A ‘40/41.
