The BB distributor is the same as 1932-34 cars with 4 cylinders.

If your flathead six is the 1941-47 G series, you have to use the gearbox case made for this motor. If you have the 1948-51 H series flathead...

40cpe has it. The 1/2 bell and the hogshead are two different parts. The
hogshead stays bolted to the 4-speed.

Just take the 4-speed out and bolt the 3-speed to the engine, you don't need anything.

The housing should not turn. Do you have the spring behind the front u-joint
that pushes the coupling shaft back?
