Well I've searched the net and checked Speedway and a few others and all I can find is hydraulic throwout bearings with an 1.375" ID, if anybody knows of one with a 1.75" ID I certainly would...

Is there a hydraulic throwout bearing that will fit a model A 3 speed transmission.
I'm building a Doodlebug with a John Deere LA tractor engine and the LA clutch arm just doesn't seem beefy enough...

It is John Deere LUC motor off a 12A combine the motor was also used an the L and LA tractors, on the motor there is a clutch off an LA tractor then an adapter I made to marry the Model A 3 speed...

I have this 3 speed transmission sitting in my garage and the main drive gear is smaller than the main drive gear in my doodlebug project. What do each of these fit, just curious.
Top one is 1-1/8"...

I had to do the same thing to a Doodle Bug I'm making with an "A" axle, I would cut off what you can with a cut off wheel, the thinner the cutoff wheel the faster it will go, and then use some 40...

Jim Brierley, the picture shown is as far as I've gotten so far.
If I get an AA 4-speed transmission is that a direct fit or would I need other parts as well?

Finding a ring gear, pinion and brakes would be awesome, beat up old stuff will work the tractor will have a top speed of 5MPH

I just tore this thing apart and it is missing the drive shaft, pinion gear and brakes, and the ring gear is missing some teeth, this is a bummer.

I joined this forum just to ask this question, I bought what I think is a "Model A" rear axle but not being a car guy I really don't know. I bought this for a tractor project I'm working...
