Brake Rod Return Spring Confusion

The description and photo of the Brake Rod Return Springs in the 7-8 Revised 2011 of the Standards has some slight confusion within.

The confusion lies in the verbage of the Service Brake Rod...

Another purpose of the shim washer is that the reproduction bearing out there on the market is smaller in thickness than the originals...therefore the addition of the shim washer to get the same...

Where may I find a charger that I can regulate the Voltage and Amprage?

Looking for something that will give me at least 2-3 Volts and 2-3 Amps.

So far Harbor Fright, Grainger, and NAPA can not...

The Rear Brake Camshaft Lever...

OK...I have to be crosseyed because I can not tell the difference between the Right and Left Camshaft Lever, A-2235 and A-2236.

I have a few and they all look the same to me...maybe they are I do...

Painting question

So you have two parts...

The first part was sandblasted and has kind of a blue-grey appearance...

The second part was cleaned up by using just a wire wheel brush to a nice shinny silver metal...

It is somewhere between Start Of Production and October 1, 1928.

AND How would one distiguish one from the other?

Yes, there is also a complete date list in the MARC/MAFCA Resteration Guidelines and Judging Standards...Your engine is dated between October 1-31, 1929. (4616-9385)
