It can happen in an A because there is no seal at that location, especially if the crankcase is full or over filled.

Gas will leak if it is not shut off or the valve is bad. the oil most likely was from the rear main.

If you are a mechanic maybe, but if it is your opinion I doubt they would have a claim. You can be sued for sitting on your porch but it won't make it through the court system unless you were out...

Would it have been engineered and added in the first place if there was no reason for it? Ask yourself and answer that idea. Were there other factors causing bearing failure?

You have a perfect chance to try different plugs and give us a report on how they all worked in your car. Fouling is not only caused by the plug so check other things such a carb and timing.

Different ring sets have different oil control types, but if they fit the piston ring grooves in the piston they will work. If you need to bore the cylinders you can buy any model A piston/ring set.
