SOLD I purchased these Sub Rails for my '31 CCPU. They are the Sub Rails for the '30-'31 Tudors. I first cut off what I needed for the Pickup then changed plans and only used the first 9". The...

Re: Push down ignition switch

I agree with CWPASADENA. I bought mine from Dick Crabtree. Excellent work and very fair price.

Junkyard Memories

In a different thread Tom Wesenberg mentioned French Lake Auto Parts in Minnesota. That brought back memories from when I was working on my first A, which I still own. I looked up a receipt that I...

Re: shock problem

I think the judging standards states that the shock link should be near vertical. That would make your shock arm too short.

Looks great. I'm sure you learned a lot. Hands on is the best way. Wish I had that spray booth.

Re: Spring Hanger (Shackle) Bushing dimensions

Hi Brent
I don't have any dimensions for you but my preference would be to use a reamer not a drill bit. Reamers will follow the initial hole and open it up to the desired size. A drill bit will...

Re: Steering Column Housing sectors worn smooth

I built up the ridges by TIG welding just the top edges. Then some hand filing with a three corner file being careful not to file any deeper in the valleys than original depth. I didn't want to make...

'31 Horn Button Trim Ring

I'm ready to send out my 1931 light switch, gas and spark rods for nickel plating. The horn button trim ring appears to be chrome plated. Should it be chrome or nickel plated?

Re: Gas and Spark Rods

Thanks to both Russ and 100IH. I believe both of you are correct and that it was Fords intention to have the column designed the way it is. Now if there was an easier way to get the rods in. I leave...

Re: Gas and Spark Rods

In my original post I stated that I have an early '31. I forgot to mention that it has the indented firewall so the steering column is not mounted to the gas tank like previous models. Does that make...

Re: Front Engine Mount Springs

My comparison chart didn't print the way I had it laid out. The first set of numbers are Bert's springs. The second set are the Zinc plated ones. Also the wrong Ford drawing was imported and I don't...
