I have some more information. (Sorry, I am doing this for a friend and have not seen the truck)

Attached are pictures of the original generator which they say is OK, tag, and the faulty...

All they need is a functioning 6 volt generator. Not trying to replicate fire equipment, just trying to get the truck running. They already have a new 6 volt positive ground regulator. Does anyone...

Interesting point Joe I have not seen the truck. They tell me it has a Leece Neville Alternator (apparently 6 volt) which they can't seem to find a regulator for. i'LL inquire.

I am told that it is not the 337 engine. ( I thought those were F7-8 only)

A friend in Athens TN is looking for a working generator for a 48 Ford V8 F-5 firetruck. The truck is to be a driver, not a functioning firetruck. Does anyone in the Athens TN area have a generator...
