Brent your a man after my own heart. I remember working with a german tech and he'd torque by degrees. Tighten up the bolt, when snug give it a 20 Deg. turn. your good to go.

A hard part to find. Try a Canadian one. It's one piece with the ears on the end. it screws on to wood work and then the holes are filled. As far as I know. It's made from mild steel.

Limco is a BASF product if I remember properly. It'a urethane not Acrylic Enamel as far as I know. In Canada anyway. Get the Material Data Sheet that will tell you everything. JP

As for the colour, can they not scan the colour and get a place to start? Or can your painter go to the supplier and tint the colour to get the match.

Looks like the problem is everywhere. I taught the Autobody apprenticeship programe for 12 years and the main thing that stood out was finding that student that truly had the interest or the skill....

Any Aftermarket Body Panel is just a start. There close but not correct. They all need work to get the right fit and finish. Even "New Car" Aftermarket parts are the same. I call them "Almost Fit"...

You have two options. 1 A few minutes after you paint and 2 the next day. Also pull the tape away from the painted edge at a 45 Deg. angle. this way the edge of the tape cuts the paint as you pull it...

Get the Hood all ready to paint. Then run the rods into the hood hinges with a drill. Work them two three times back and forth and then remove them. Put them back together with a little anti-seize....
