The back side , may be to do with the patch panel in the A piller ,see if the other side is the same then maybe slide the hood over to close the gap ,

You can cut the hinge on the door part then lift up the door and re weld it ( or lower the piece you cut) this can be done with a tig using a metal shield with minimum damage, I haven't done this...

Sorry My instructions were for a rear hinged door ,you will need to do as the others have suggested ,try and loosen of the door jam screws ,spay some wD40 on the threads in behind the A pillar cover...

Over time as these body's settled on the chassis ,some misalignment happens s theres several fix's, one as well as Krylon ,you pack the B pillar between the body and frame this will lift it at...

We do maintenance for this chrome shop ,To get the affect we bead blast the bars then just polish the fronts ,a friend needed a wiper motor the supplier in the states didn't have his Chromer any...
