I still have my toe in tools from back in the 60's. Four quarts of Texaco 30 wt. oil and two straight pieces of 6' long steel. Had to do what you had to do. Now the curtain rod with a sticky back...

First thing i would do is jack up the car and spin the tires. Be surprised at how many are not true and have a distinct wobble in them.

I have never seen a starter run backwards. Does that mean its sucks the varmits in thru the exhaust and pukes them out the carb? Just curious,,, i am old senile.
