Changed gaskets to check for air leaks; did not help.
I slightly adjusted float and now it will start and run (well) for a short time and dies. I have adjusted the GAV (1 full turn) and the air/gas...

Thanks so much. This is a real help. I am trying to make sure I eliminate any chance of air leaks fore I do anything else.

I have a good gasket and have filed down smooth the the manifold and the carb is new. To eliminate the air leak issue. I don’t think it is an air leak. How do I check float level in Tillotson carb?

This is a new carb and can’t start. Good fuel getting to the inlet of carb, and the gas flows thru valve great but wont start unless I use starter fluid, then runs and stops. New carb, wouldn’t...
