Re: 32 winterfront
Pines grilles with 25 louver hoods on open top cars are really baffling, but seem to be a popular combination for some odd reason.

Re: Painted silos
Perhaps so the inside walls are smooth. If there's no insulation (or other modern amenities) in the wall you wouldn't really need to have siding on the exterior of the studs. The porch...

Re: 1932 Ford rumble lid
Nothing says you have to put the seat in your trunk. You could leave out (or remove) the seat springs and riser, leaving you with a top-opening trunk.

Re: Gas pump question
Not to mention the brand of fuel sold. Larger companies would have been more likely to be more on the leading edge of pump technology than their smaller local or regional counterparts.

Re: T5 guys TKX
I would agree. It even shares some of the exact same boss and rib geometry at the bellhousing flange and in the tail shaft housing.
I don't really consider this to be a replacement for the T5. ...

Re: Bullet connector crimping tool
Crimpers designed for use with Deutsch connector contacts will crimp at 4X positions. There are a variety of Deutsch contact sizes, so there's likely a tool that could be used for these bullet style...

Re: Spring clamp torque value?
Fasteners should be tightened without any sort of lubricant unless specified. It will reduce the amount of torque required to reach X amount of bolt stretch, often in an unreliable manner.

My father had them build him a SCoT blown engine with all of their reproduction goodies this spring/summer. They sent him a "it's done" video of (supposedly) the engine. I don't know how many "have...

Re: Wood For My 1934 Ford Project
I certainly hope that's not the case as I've been procrastinating on ordering some wood that I believe he's the only one that reproduces. :(

Re: 1932 Ford Vicky
I think that $10k is an outlier for a Winterfront, even for a pristine one. The one on this car would have been nowhere near that much.

Re: 1932 Ford Vicky
Looks pretty solid to me. That fender is rough, but the rest doesn't look bad. You must be used to creampuffs.

The pump he is using is not outputting enough pressure to cause an issue with the rubber line. It's fine in that respect.
I suspect he has a fuel incompatibility issue with the type of rubber...

Re: Wheel stands
I use 4x4 and 2x4 cribbing because it's:
cheap
strong
easy to procure or re-purpose
can be adjusted as high or low as needed in 1.5" and 3.5" increments
doesn't take up much storage space
