Ford started using hydraulic brakes in1939. People started replacing the mechanicals soon after wrecked cars were available in the junk yards. There are kits available now, Kling's is one supplier....

Hagerty here also, about 15 yrs, 1st on the Model A and now on the 40. NO claims and I think reasonable (cheap) compared to daily driver.

Hagerty is a little over the hundred(depending on how much you value the car).
Unless you're strapped for cash I would just go ahead and get it. JMO

I gave our "girl" 75$ this year. My wife gets packages 2-3 times a week and about 15"solicitations a day. Very nice, pleasant girl, always had a treat when we had the dog.

With the drum ON and tightened is there any movement??
I believe what movement you have now is normal as there's nothing supporting the axle withe the drum removed.
