i used a coil without the resistor on a 57.lasted about 2 days same with second one.

it didnt hurt the oil pressure on my engine at any rate.it still had a good bottom end.most engines who got this were on their last.

the kit contained a hollow stud to replace the one that held the rocker cover on.this fed oil to the shaft.i put one on back in 69.the right side never got as much oil and was the first to quit.

a lot of people were doing this for awile.now most have backed away from it.you dont need it for a street engine.

if your looking to save a buck use the 6 cyl exhaust for one side if its still good.all you need is a couple feet of pipe from the manifold which any shop can make for a small amount and your half...

you dont need a cover from a tbird.starting around 58 ford used these on all y blocks.trucks included.your not going to get a deal on e bay.

you need all 6.i would think the 4 bolts their talking about are for attaching the flex plate to the torque converter.the early one used 6.

forgot 475.on covers.the 361 i had had e400 on the covers.edsel was trying to be different by putting the torque on the covers.

410 cubic inches 440 foot pounds of torque.which is why it had 440 on the rocker covers

the cheaper models have a 361 which is an fe.the 2 top models have a 410 which is based on the mercury 430.

it will bolt up with some work.if its out of a small block 289 to 351 the input shaft will need 3/8 ground of of it will bottom out and lock your engine up.i put one in a 57 years ago. also the front...

a lot of times it can be a dragging starter.there was a gizmo ill call it that you held on the starter cable when the engine was turning over to check draw.im sure they are still around.

yes ive seen them do it with an fe in a early ford.i helped put a 430 in a 63 merc which had an fe and we still had to turn the mounts to get that brute in.

this was common way back.in most cases they would use 6 mounts on a v8 and vice versa.
