Re: Rear spring eye

Tighten up the spring eye with a hammer. If you have the spring off hold it on a anvil or something solid and tighten the roll up on the eye.

Re: 1932 Ford dealer album photo needed

Many years ago I found these two covers in Lancaster, KY no parts just some neat literature. I bought one of the repo insides just to put in the cover but have never found the truck lit.

Re: Oil pump suction?

That is just sludge in the bottom of the pan. I just thought it was interesting, I had never seen that before!

Oil pump suction?

Just disassembled a Mercury flathead and this is what I found when I removed the pan! Do you think the screen got plugged and the oil pump tried to pull it in? This is a engine with super low miles...

Re: what is this steering box?

Yeah a couple of my cars has the vega box but like you said it doesn't look vintage. Anybody ever thought about casting a new box for a 32-34 with maybe vega internals?

Re: Anyone heard from TOD lately about casting a new block?

I read the model A side also and he has threads with photos about his 5 main aluminum blocks, heads, and even a overhead valve conversion for model A. Very impressive stuff!

Re: what is this steering box?

I thought it was a really good idea that wasn't engineered correctly! F-1 internals in a bolt on box for a 32 what's not to like? I looked at them but thankfully never bought one!

Great video thanks for posting! Wonder if the 40 coupe at about 3.53 that had been on it's top happened there?

Re: 1955 Mercury Steering Wheel Value

You already have a bid too. I think it will go much higher. Put it on my watch list just to see what it brings.
