If you use one put an anode in the system,its a 'waste' metal slug that accepts the electrolysis damage.

A friend gave me 5 pull out 28/29 radiators,I want to gain some rebuilding skills..turned out I was able to return 3 of them to service by repeatedly back flushing them with and industrial hot water...

'58 to '63 type 1..it has the big rear window but small quarters..Pinafarina recommended the bigger rear window,one of the few nods to styling from 38 to 67..

The leakless part of a leakless water pump is a lip seal in the rear bushing,you can use a grease type front bearing.

you can also set bearings with aluminum foil...if you still have shims,remove the cap,fold and measure a piece to aluminum foil (I found heavy duty foil folds in half to .002),stick a 1" wide...
