On my 39 engine,I had to crank longer than 30 seconds to get pressure. Crank for 10 secs. And give it a rest for a few mins. Eventually I got 25 psi. but mine is 6 volt and was using a 12 volt batt....

I made my own using plastic tubing of the right diameter. I joined the ends together with a small spring that fit snugly inside the tubing. Check to be sure it's oil resistant.

There is a good chance your block has a lot of rust and casting sand in bottom of water jackets, mostly in the back. This will not be removed by flushing alone, you need to get something down there...

you should not have to twist button to install. it pushes in compressing the two spring steel pieces that fit in cutouts in dash hole. make sure you clean this area to bare metal before installing...

You should have battery voltage at lights. You must work backwards from lights to see where your voltage loss is. Do you have wiring diagram? Is this a new wiring harness?

I have several engines and none of them had the pipe installed. If I remember correctly it is a pipe thread 1/4 " (?). Could use a pipe nipple if needed.
