I tried to retrieve this info but @ 79 , I may not have time to read all of the related searches .
To pull the rear in my 34 for trans access & I have read here some folks have done it w/o a spring...

I agree most logical would be upper left . As mentioned , some one must have rotated it unknowingly . Either way , to get a good ground there are many other more handy & cheaper places than inside...

Possibly some are top left --this one is bottom right as mentioned


Seems a ridiculous place to machine for & run a ground strap ?

34 clamshell cover has 4 nuts & a thru bolt ?

Looking at the u joint clamshell cover , there are the 4 fastening nuts and at about the 4 o'clock position a protruding bolt ? ( so total of 5 holes in the cover )
Can someone tell me what the bolt...

34 Tudoor LH door jam header

Recenty bought from Howell's Sheet Metal a pair of new Jam headers for my 34 Tudoor but ended up only using the RH .
The LH (driver side) is for sale . I would trade for a pint of 34 Ford Vineyard...

34 radiator hose ID

Can any one offer the stock radiator hose ID ---or ---the water pump OD where the hose attaches , I think the hose ID is 1 3/4 but not positive.

Yes , muriatic acid used straight on is vicious ! For soaking parts I use approx a 10 /1 mixture w/ frequent checking & possibly some wire brushing . Be careful w/ thin material like auto window...

I've used muriatic acid & water where I could put the part in & let it soak .
Don't use it with aluminum as it will dissolve it . Works great if you have aluminum piston scuffs in a steel cylinder...

upholstery question

The stock 34 tudor I recently purchased was re-upholstered before I purchased it with a light tan almost corduroy (sp) material and there are a few small pcs that are missing like between the door...

Thanks Steve , The P & J kits look exactly like the vintage but slightly less expensive .
I am curious how the lower ends fasten ? Must slide over the existing posts but what secures them from...

Another simple indication for an actual loss of oil pressure is the engine will become noisy--clattering where there was non previously .
