I think the bumpers are the same...only diffence being the vertical "bumperette" option.

That looks like mine did before I took all the fire gear off!


I'd love to see a few more pics of the side with the running boards. Looks like maybe yours had the Hale Chrysler Flathead 6 powered...

Yeah the repair metal is being formed right now. I used a pair of donor running boards to cannabalize the needed sweep and length.

Interesting development today...started cleaning the old pan gasket off block rails and the 2 rear soft plugs in the rail disintegrated as soon as I touched them with the scraper.


They APPEARED...

No idea, I bought is as a used "running"engine. The one in the truck when I got it was toast.


This engine has and does run great, but after sitting over this past winter it slowly leaked enough...

Yes to milky oil...that's how I figured out it had an internal leak.


Yes it's out of the truck and mounted on a Stumpy's flathead adaptor.

While I understand the block pressure testing...I should add that this engine is in a '37 model 79 1-1/2 ton that will never see the highway nor ever haul a load again.

Last spring I posted about my '37 85hp having water in the oil after sitting all winter.


Finally was able to mount the engine stand adaptor and get the pan off.


I didn't find any evidence...

'37 1-1/2 Ton Rear Axle Hub Cap Bolts

I'm needing at least 2, 3 would be better, of the bolts that screw onto the axle flange.


There are 8 actual axle bolts then 2 others that screw into the axle flange. They are 7/16-14, and then...

Yes...definitely '37 engine. Dual pulley pumps in the block and 21 stud heads.


The motor is coming out of the truck next week and getting a thorough checking out.

I pulled the plugs today, all look really good. They all look the same and all the combustion areas, top of the pistons and valve edges I can see are dry and look really good.

I started mounting up my 6, 5 lug on 8" circle,19.5 tubeless wheels and Goodyear tires today.


The wheels came off a late 70's Dodge motor home. They're BUDD...

Right now the rear end is still mounted the frame but there is no cab or drivetrain from the driveline tube forward.


I was thinking about building kind of an insulated box around it and turning...

WTB '37 Truck Headliner Trim

FOUND...I'm looking for the 2 pieces of curved headliner trim that goes above the doors on a '37 Truck. Not sure but I think that '38 might also work.
