Re: Emergency Brake Cross Shaft Arms

The lever in the picture, and in particular the short shaft or pin that the fish eye clevis attaches to. Is it supposed to be 7/16" diameter? Mine look to be worn as does the clevis diameter so I...

What would identify a Brookville 1931 Roadster Body

If a seller did not know what he had or in a case I saw an estate auctioneer? What would be a quick dead give away? Gas tank? Do they use a different tank or you have to use an original? I don't...

Re: Rear brake drum hub difference

Well nothing much has surprised me on this car since I bought it a year ago.Only thing I would say is if I bought a better Model A roadster I wouldn't have learned as much or had asked so many...

Snyders or Randy Gross for rear brake rebuild.

I am going to need to have the rear brakes rebuilt this fall or winter. I see where some like the guy who advertises in the swap section Mel Gross so I assume it is the same as the Randy Gross who...

Brake rod length adjustment question.

Les Andrews book states to set the brake rod length dimension to 51 7/16"-51 1/2" eye to eye. Now is this really st in stone or a ballpark dimension? I set mine on the bench to that and everything is...

Re: Henry Fords Pay Scale

A lot of Henry Fords "genoristy" had to do with whittling down profits so shareholders would not see any gain and eventually sell their shares back to Ford. This was certainly the case with the Model...

Re: Mark Auto Supply New Jersey

I would still like to know who manufactured their Model A Ford radiators 40-50 years ago? And were they good ones or not so good? I don't think Brassworks and the other one now made were in business...

Re: Mark Auto Supply New Jersey

Still wonder how good were their repro radiators and who built them? They wouldn't have been foreign made back then.

Re: Painting brake rods.

I am glad I checked the eyelet end of the rods before painting. It is a larger diameter than originals and that end would not go in the anti-rattler slots. A few minutes filing on each one worked now...

Re: Mikes model A ford parts

I will have to give Mikes a try just to spread the wealth around. A couple weeks ago I had a rather large order that would have cost me an additional $40.00 + dollars if given to Snyders for Ohio tax...

Re: Luggage rack bracket question.

Yes ,you look at it and what step in the process it must have taken to stamp it out, rather punch it and you would think it had a purpose like a stop or something.
