If its leaking a lot, the tube, but I would also use penrite, I haven't used
the corn head but thats supposed to work also.

If you use a Model B exhaust manifold it has almost the same downward angle of the Model
T exhaust manifold. Check it out. You see them on eBay

You can mount a solenoid right to the starter after taking off the foot actuated starter using the same screw holes and install a starter button inside the car.

No mechanic in a can you can put in there. The stop leak products that are around are seal swellers that soften hardened seals.
