I think you are dead-on here. the original Ford tool had two prongs to force it with equal pressure. The KR Wilson catalogs all claimed that "walking" races out could enlarge the part the race was...

does anyone know why there is not the improved steering column bracket for the 28-29 models? does the structure of the earlier models not accommodate such a bracket?

I've read somewhere, and I don't know where now, that the Model "A" hood had a tendency to creep forward on the hood rod. It's counter-intuitive to believe that or at least hard to believe that...

well gang, I confess I fibbed a little bit. I read in my book about Henry Ford and the D T & I that when he bought the line, it had iron telegraph wires, but they had corroded significantly.

oh man, if those were only still manufactured as exact replicas!


I've seen old ads of various contemporary tire gauges and some had almost a 90 degree bend on the stem to make them easy to use.

I would like to know what style of tire gauge you guys find most usable with our cars, esp. on tires with the metal stems that don't flex. The pencil-type gauges are hard to use on about any car old...
