The Bay to Birdwood has been run again here in Adelaide South Australia.

Numbers of A's are down due to the Model A nationals in Western Australia.

Looks like an earth link. Many of these Delco units had a link made of pressed and folded steel. It probably went missing under the bench.
The melted looking stuff was a glue substance that was used...

The oil in the coil has leaked out due to being mounted upside down and not sealed well. The oil does two things one is to help with cooling and serves the of slowing of cold to hot to cold process....

Don't rub it in Bick! Missed out on going to Napier as we could not leavet the port of Tauranga due to bad weather. We did see a 1930 Tourer in Akaroa earning its keep taking tourists for a drive....

Who's the likely culprit?

A good friend has a very annoying intermittent problem that's just appeared on an otherwise very reliable car restored in the early 70's.

Every now and then the car will not fire up, it cranks...

I have a 28 and a Bergs round tube here in Australia. Been out on 35c days and works fine. Very happy with my purchase, great service too.
