Try loosing the screw until it's almost out than put the rod on the ball and tighen the screw to proper tension.

Hi Barners
I think i destroyed 3 coils.I measured 6 volts on both post of my coil.The engine runs about two minutes.Now measure drivers side post on coil and get 3 volts and engine will not...

I have a motorcycle jack to pick up the front end under the axle and also works on the rear under the rear end.
It works perfectly!
