Re: Ford/Champion spark plugs
Alan I am not sure I understand. The Ford parts manuals that I have list the H9 comm plugs for all the Commercials 1938 thru 1947, 90 and 100 hp with Ford part number listed as 01T 12405.

Ford/Champion spark plugs
Have done several searches here and understand that the Ford/Champion plugs are thought to be replacement plugs but would they lose points if the vehicle was being judged?
The reason I ask is that I...

Re: oil pan appendage
As has been indicated there should be a slot in the bottom which directs the oil flow toward the bottom of the oil pan.

Re: oil pans
Thanks guys for your help.
The reason I ask these questions is because a friend is at Salem and picked up a two piece oil pan. He is in restoration process of a 1947 tonner and I could not find...

Re: oil pans
Mac and DD since you pointed me in the right direction, the 11 inch clutch seems to be only used for the 4 speed and not the 3 speed, is this correct in your opinion?

I have the same problem on my 1942 Commercial and purchased a tool from Bob Drake that is made for this and works great. It should be in there catalog.

Re: Window glass question
I checked in the 1942 Body Parts book (don't have one for 1939) and 1942 does not have the metal frame. I have some windows out of a 1947 and they have the metal frames. Just a guess but maybe the...

Re: Inner distributor caps
Charlie, in my opinion, using the test lamp like you are is a good way to test. I use a digital meter with an audible tone that way I don't even have to look at the meter I just listen for the tone.
