basically I just reversed the procedure, not sure where the issue might be... I did not have to secure the frame to anything or have anything other than a floor jack as I recall.

Let me add as well that the upper and lower control arm bolts need to be torqued to spec...only after the full weight of the car is resting on those springs.

check your striker plates... they have a tendency to loosen up. Ford's original "gaskets" or thin spacers were rough like sandpaper to keep the plate from loosening up against the body.

From a sales brochure I have (I will have to take a picture and upload it), the Ranch Wagon has no side trim, just the script but the Custom Ranch Wagon does indeed have a straight piece of stainless...

one other curiosity... how would the seal work? every one that I have seen had a seal that kept oil from leaking down that shaft. Seems to me that a key would be an odd feature to have unless there...

no, it's not. 13K for something that needs a carb rebuilt... my concern would be if it has that much neglect what else is hiding out?
