I am installing a Carter electric fuel pump in my '29 Model A, along with a Holley fuel pressure regulator, because I am using a Weber carburetor. The instructions to the Holley fuel pressure...

Re: Electric fuel pump mounting location

Thank you for the responses, gentlemen. I will put the pump down on the frame rail below the carb. I just discovered that Ford put holes to mount a right-hand steering box in my car's frame and,...

Electric fuel pump mounting location

I am installing a Weber carb on my '29 Tudor which requires an electric fuel pump to work well, due to the Weber being a downdraft carb which sits higher than the stock Model A Carb. If anyone has...

Re: electic pump

I saw a discussion about this on the ACAA forum a little while ago, but I can't find my notes. They provided model numbers for a couple of flow through fuel pumps -- maybe you can find the thread --...

In my '29 Tudor have put in a modern starter with an integral solenoid -- and I want to install a 3-position ignition switch, i.e., a switch which has off/run/start. There is almost two inches of...

Re: Cleaning the gas tank in place?

As others have said, the baffles will prevent you from getting on the other side of them. Some people have suggested taking the tank off and putting gravel, nuts (steel) or chain behind the baffles...

Re: Voltmeter instead of ammeter

I just received the ammeter which I ordered from Auto Meter Products. The order clearly states that I ordered a 1.5" voltmeter, but the one they sent me is 2" in diameter. I just sent them an...

Re: Voltmeter instead of ammeter

Please explain what a "shunt" is. Since the ammeter has two terminals on it, what would the sources of the to wires going to it be in an electrical system with a one-wire alternator? Perhaps just...

Voltmeter instead of ammeter

I installed a 12-volt alternator in my '29 Tudor and would like to have a voltmeter gauge in the stock ammeter location. But, the stock ammeter hole in the dash plate is only about 1.5" in diameter...

Anti-seize lube for aluminum cylinder head

I have installed an aluminum "Rocket" head from Secrets of Speed on my Model A. I wonder about using this: https://www.amazon.com/Jet-Lube-Anti-Seize-Lubricant-Conductive-Termination/dp/B009VO2O1Y...

Re: crank pulley removal

I am still struggling to get the second part of a two-piece crank pulley off of my '29. It doesn't do you much good to have a two-piece if you can't get the second part off. Tonight, I will take...

Re: Removal of two-piece crank pulley

I don't trust the two-piece cast iron unit to hang together. Since I already have almost $10K in this rig, I think it's reasonable to invest less than $200 to ensure the crank pulley does not come...
