Went for Breakfast today,put another 50 miles on the 40, Found out that I have been going to that restaurant longer than the other guys at the table there were alive.

Some times the bulbs do not have enough resistance in them to operate the flasher.
I had this issue with my turn signals, The filament on American made bulbs was twice the size of the foreign made...

Attemped to start the 40 for pre Easter drive to the Kids House, Battery was low. Got it running,then had an ignition issue. Fixed the problem. Filled the tank with Premium. Put 150 miles on the car....

They sell converters that change six volts to 12 volts. Google it ,as I cant find the information I had. Worked good on my 12 volt siren

As they say it is more cost effective to look for an 85hp car. If the 60 was really cheap, there are a lot of head aches with istalling an 85. Most of all finding a GOOD engine to start with.

I would recommend replacing the ignition resistor. Mine failed on my 40 after 84 years. It was hard figure out that is was bad as it would only fail occasionaly. NAPA under 10 Dollars.

There was a story years ago about a Flathead with a strange miss. It turned out to be a blocked exhaust manifold , It was full of carbon. I know this is reaching but just a suggestion.
