Nice job! Just tested it. That's a work-around for me.

Re: Can't use search function

Mn1949ford, I really don't think the two are related. I've been having the issue you mention for years.

I just got curious and tested and it happens the same way if I use Chrome or the Samsung...

Re: Can't use search function

Nope not doing anything wrong from my experience. It does the same on my Android phone. A real PITA.

Most of the time I'm using a PC and it works fine for me there.

And Welcome to the...

Re: 1936 pickup cab corner question

Some folks find if they email it to themselves, the pic is compressed along the way. Might help?

Re: Canadian Weiand heads

The Weiand name placed under the water neck makes it less detectable to the inspector who doesn't carry a mirror in his pocket?

Re: Question for Charlie, NY

Thanks Marcus for sending up the Bat Signal.

Seeing Charlie and Alice in that snapshot that DD whipped out really brought a smile to my face! Gooder people you'll not find (and you're good at...

Re: 1935 Thermostats

I run Robert Shewman's stats which are made to fit into the upper hose in my 35 and my 36 (using pump-in-head configuration and correct radiators). Pretty sure they're 180's.

Robert Shewman, POB...

Re: 8 volt battery in a 6 volt car?

What vehicle are we discussing? My 35 & 36 used a low profile battery originally and fitting modern replacements including my preferred Optima RedTop do require a little fiddling.

Re: My 1935 Convertible Sedan died on the road

Hi Rich, That fuel pump with a glass bowl is certainly nice, and I've used them with success, but the real deal for '35 has no glass bowl/filter between the hard line on the cowl and the fuel pump...

Re: Brake Adjustment 1936 Mechanical

Check this area for free movement or binding. The ball cap can wear.

Possibly the issue is with the rollers at the bottom of the shoes that the wedge engages? Are they free, circular, and...

Re: Brake Adjustment 1936 Mechanical

Each brake rod connects to each wheel with a pin/cotter pin combination. The pins wear and are no longer round. This end of the rod has a turnbuckle like adjuster with a stop nut, and wear in the...

Re: My 1935 Convertible Sedan died on the road

Hi Everyone. Excellent thoughts.

Rich, The flex hose from firewall/hardline to fuel pump inlet is a possible air source and isn't as difficult/expensive to exchange as some of the related bits. ...

Re: Brake Adjustment 1936 Mechanical

Pulling and inspecting pins for gouges and wear, and rods for straightness (most are bent and they don't transmit force properly) and worn eyelets will need doing, and might be better done first?

I have a friend who's car was done at Bad Donkee Hot Rods in Pa. I think they used that combo. They'd know.

Re: Pictures, how to post?

The secret might be closely kept but 1600 x 900-ish seems to be a size that always works for me. It's those buggers that are over 3000 in any dimension that get spit back.

If you have Windows,...

Re: Brake Floaters For 1936

The process for 1935 cars is in the December 1934 Bulletin. That'll get you pretty darn close with your '36.

Re: Brake Floaters For 1936

I've always had a hard time understanding why locking up the brakes is good?!? Doesn't that happen right before you hit something?

I try to keep mine stopping without locking up.

Regardless...

Re: Bad Speedometer cable or...

In my...

My initial reaction to your original question was "To frustrate the heck...
