I have used the Pertronix 3 ohm oil filled coil with 12 volts for a number of miles without issue. The Pertronix oil filled coil is designed to operate in any orientation, including the Model A...

I was only able to get the 185 degree thermostat to work correctly in a pressurized system. The 160 degree performed well in a non-pressurized system.

I have found that the rear bearing with just one seal doesn't seal well even with the slinger in place. I am using a double sealed bearing and the level now stays up after extended touring.

The front bearing with the fan off you can see the seal on the ball bearing. The rear is more difficult, the pump needs to be pulled, you can see the Rupert machined bearing and seal holder.

The number I had was a fax, so had one of the girls at work help me send a fax today!

I would use the fan remover nut sold by the suppliers. Sit with the pump between your knees with the fan resting on your legs. Remove the castle nut and install the remover, thread it most of the way...

I have had bad luck with all the manifold gaskets except the steel impregnated, waffle pattern. These last well and don't burn out.

I try to add a twist between the two bolts, it is difficult get in there with wire twist pliers. My thought is to connect something between the two.
