Lost a wind wing

My 1931 Roadster wind wing glass is captured with two sets of clamps.
They are rubber backed for additional friction, but they do not seem to have sufficient holding power. Is there a more positive...

Re: Pull to the left fixed

Thanks, that is great information I was not aware of.

It would be quite a chore cleaning the lines, cylinders, replacing the rubber etc....

Re: Break shoe width

I decided to order the shims. They are .004 thick. Does anyone know how to calculate the amount that will bring out the hub? Assume a 5* taper. My trig is a little rusty.
Thanks

Re: I think I found it

Good news --I think. Spraying carb cleaner around the manifold reved the engine up considerably. So now I believe the problem to be the manifold gasket. My engine builder insisted on putting the...

Re: I think I found it

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I do have spark at #1 and #2. I will have to get a hand crank to further test point gap etc. I am very encouraged by the comment associated with 90# pressure...

I think I found it

I have been fighting a miss for some time. Today while idling the engine, I grounded out #1 and no change. I grounded out #2 and no change. Grounding out #3 and #4 each slowed down the engine speed....

Re: My miss is gone

Thanks for all of the replays. I do not use corn base fuel, but none the less I will take the advise and start adding MMO to my fuel each time I fill up.
