Re: Cracked Block

years ago... I know a guy that his gas fired small dump truck had a crack in the block. He used water-glass, and said he drove it another 3 years before he went to another company and it was just...

Re: Dual carb intake

I had one of the 7:1s on my A once, and you are right. I had to mind the spark advance constantly. The regular Brumfield is just fine

Re: automatic transmisson

The rule of thumb is that a THM350 takes 25 HP to operate, and THM400 takes 50 HP to operate. That's what the hot rod guys say.... The powerglide sounds like the best choice.

Re: holly 4 barrel carb linkage

Re: holly 4 barrel carb linkage

I know I had a heck of a time converting my linkages when I went from a 2 bbbl to a Offy tri-power with Holley 94s. It was a ton of work, trial and error, etc. Works great now.

If you are...

Re: 292 Y Block Electronic Ignition Conversion Advice

With the Accell unit be sure to match the ballast-restistor to it. I think (and I mean think) it takes an 80 ohm unit. I know summit sell the right ballast-resistor, but you have to know to...

Re: Very dirty filter bowl

I agree. Keep cleaning the screen. If you take it to be boiled out 1 kiss your paint goodbye. 2 it will leak. 3 forget about sealing it. sealing sounds good, but turns into a mess down the...

Re: Most accurate tempt prob location?

I have #3. Had to do something, someone tried to steel my mototmoter, and snapped the neck of my super duty radiator. The new radiator alone was $585 plus shipping, and my time to install.
