Re: 41pu fender to bed. Is welting used?

I have not seen fender welting as we know it used on these trucks but have seen gasket type material between the box and the fender.

Yes that was a common fix out in the field to prevent the fender from tearing off the box

A real must is a slop sink to keep things cleaned as well as a toilet.
I have everything mentioned above and still find myself wanting some other cool tools.

Correction. It got 90 to degrees in Fairbanks today. You are correct. We sometimes put stuff in the refrigerator to prevent from freezing.

You can also store the paint in a refrigerator but not freezing it.

If you do not have good sheet metal skills and equipment, I would leave the car alone. Besides that hump back is better looking in my opinion.

Do not use steel wool. That will leave the raw steel wool imbeded into the paint. A scotch brite is the choice. You are still going to need some type of primer to make the adhesion to the old paint...

I have to agree. I see that many business are gouging on shipping at a profit. When I think shipping is out of hand for a particular vendor, I shop elsewhere .
Some businesses do not even care...

Yes they can be unnerving . Many of my friends are having issues with sleeping . Been here since 1964 . have seen many , This one has done the most damage since the big one in 1964.

I would have to agree with Bills Auto Works . I drive my own commercial truck on a occasional basis and do haul vehicles. I would think that winter transportation may be a better time to transport...
