Re: 1929 model A Tudor value
Asking price is SOMETIMES the selling price, depending on the transaction and how realistic the price is.

Re: How to Get Title to Grandpa’s A
Hadn't thought of that situation.
When I sold our Town Sedan to a guy from KY, I signed over the FL title to him.

Re: How to Get Title to Grandpa’s A

Put a Y.o.M. plate on it and drive.
Hagerty Insurance is not finicky about any of this.

Re: Firestone vs Lucas Tires

Drove a set of Lucas 22,000 miles with no complaints, but those were installed in 1987...

Re: Diff only Oil
I ran straight STP in differential, transmission and steering box for many years with no problems.
Hard to get it into the differential, a 90 degree street elbow screwed into the fill hole helps.

Re: Lessons Learned from My First Flat Tire
Mostly good advice.
Torque wrench is unnecessary extra weight unless you need to pull a head or rear hub out on the road. Even then you can get home OK without it.
Balancing beads - not needed...

Don't remember what was in the cylinders, but...

yes, drop the pan and clean everything before trying to start.

That way you can determine if your carb is the problem or not.
If it is, I recommend a rebuilt unit from...
