Vacuum comes from intake side of engine ,mount a threaded fitting in intake . Then get a vacuum tank and one way valve and mount it so it feeds your wiper , if running six volt might not fin a pump...

Tubes are stronger Learned this working on hydraulic rods and tubes ,more surface area to bend makes it stronger with less weight.

Yes, upper is to fill and check , lower to drain. Only fill till when you put your little finger in to your first joint on it. That is all that is needed. Check level a few days later after driving .

Split ring or split rim . Split rim are dangerous ,do not use . Split ring are also dangerous but if done properly are not as bad . Know how to work on either type or take to truck tire place were...

Split rims are dangerous , split ring not so much if you get ring seated in groove wrap tire and rim with a chain around them not real tight .Put air in without needle in stem to lock ring in place...

The 29 should be a worm gear rear end and the 31 should be a ring and pinion set up. The 29 might be a fast rear end than the 31.Jim

Go for Berg's , if runs to cool put thermostat in it . Vintage Precision is a nice way to go . You can then put temp probe in below thermostat and see temp.

You need to strip off all plating to repair underlying metal . Use very fine sand paper to make a mirror finish. What you see in metal before plating is what comes thru as your finish. Truckerjim
