I built a 6 volt positive ground 10si . Installing was easy, built my own bracket and was able to use original belt and wire. I like it better for everyday driving. I painted alternator black to help...

Mine was chattering, when I took it apart I found it mostly was the transmission. The main drive gear and main shaft had a bad roller bearing and shaft causing the chatter.

I just bought a set from Lucas, 19 inch,same tire better price. I also got tubes and they were heavy, they said nothing about not for radial so we'll see how they work. I planning on a long trip next...

Check best tension, if you can turn the fan without turning the motor its too loose. Alternator needs to be tighter than a generator, alternator will not correctly charge with a loose belt.

when I removed the cap from my spare it was not easy to replace it. It looked like it pushed on but then it was loose so I bent the tabs, I don't want to do that to the other 4. I
