John,

1. Thanks for info about sharp edges. That explains why changing them made only some difference, if any.

2. About the sparkplug threads, we found that problem after I sold the head and...

Re: Lion Speed Head?

I bought a NEW Lion Head III (version 1, Not Lion Head III version A) when they first came out.

My experience was similar to post #8.

Good low end torque but would fall flat at higher speed....

Re: Blowing Starter Safety Fuse Help Please

Here is photo of what Gary WA is referring to>>>

Re: Model A cam ground to "B" profile

My 2002 Toyota Highlander uses engine oil pressure controlled by the computer to vary the valve timing of the DOHC camshafts.

Gives you the "low end grunt" of one valve timing profile AND the...

Re: Stuck valve?

I would use caution in selecting the Loctite product solely on the fact that it is green colored!

1. There is the Loctite 680 mentioned in post 17 which is green.

2. There is also a green...

Re: #6/9 stamp

Quote from Judging standards page 1-2 revised 2011:

"The style of numerals was changed in Feburary 1931, altering the shapes of the 1, 6, and 9."

Re: Question about using Brumfield head

Re: Question about using Brumfield head

In high school one guy (I will not name names...

Re: Question about using Brumfield head

I was told that Larry's head is based the original (5.2 to 1) "Police head" (the one with the Large B on the top of the casting) which Ford came out with in 1930.

The "heart shaped" chambers on...

Re: OT - will this old engine analyzer work on Model A's?

One was the ID-29 and CM-1073.

I have used these meters and tools since 1970 and in some...
