Is this something new since the head was replaced?

Have you driven it yet?

With the higher compression heads they tend to knock much easier.

Try to purposely set the timing retarded a bit...

5.5 high compression head

With the standard head on my '29 pickup I had autolite 3076 spark plugs. Should I move to different plugs with HC head?

Thank you GPierce. The issue I am trying to solve is "I have no screw in the end of the condenser"...And I can buy one but I am trying to understand how is that screw connected to the lower plate.

Ok team....comes apart slick and easy. I can't get the bail and light to go all the way back up there though. I can get the tip started in the slot but thats it. The switch only goes up about 1/4...
