Re: Any thoughts on Optima 6V

I am a big fan of either optima for use in my cars, but if you are not using it for high current stuff, use a power supply instead. Old PCs have power supplies in them that put out 5 and 12 V. They...

Re: Installing MGB lever Shocks on 39 Pickup

Is this what you are looking for? I can't find any good pictures of the rears but will look one more time. Not sure if these are the right shocks.

Does anyone know what the difference is between 38 and 40 pickup sun visor brackets and has anyone ever seen the 38s? An 01C bracket is made after market and it is listed as fitting 38 & 39. An 81C...

39 pickup Cartouche interior

There have been a couple of mentions of interiors for pickups. I now have first hand experience with the Cartouche kit for 38/39 pickups. By and large I am happy with the product and outcome. I've...

Re: 1938 windshield seal

A little soap goes a long way. But, if there is a lot of rust or old rubber in there you will probably struggle a lot. Make sure it is clean and painted down inside.

Re: Trying to find VIN/Serial Number

In this picture you can see the 3 rivets of the front cross bomber and the brake line with respect to the frame #. My folks have been trying to get an MG inspected in NC for more than a year now and...

Re: 39 Pickup Cab Floor

I have seen a '38 pickup with the dash mounted brake lever, but Mack Hil's book also shows them on the floor. My guess is that it was a running change from floor mount to dash mount at some point in...

Re: 39 Pickup Cab Floor

Here are a few pics of the floorboards and transmission cover from my '39 parts pickup. My driver has a plywood replacement for the wood so it would only be useful for a pattern. The metal...

Re: 39 Pickup Cab Floor

I think this picture is of an original mat but I do not know for sure. I am pretty sure that the rubber cover should not be over the shift tower. Below is a mat that is being reproduced but you...

Re: 1939 ford Pickup Headliner question

Cartouche makes a cardboard repro and I just ordered one a few days ago. If you can wait the 3-4 weeks they said it would take to show up I can post pictures, etc.

In post #4 did you mean you are looking for a hot air heater that isn't rusted out? My dad and I deal in them. If so I should be able to supply a complete system. The exchanger will need some work...

Re: 1939 pickup hood latch assembly question

Ah, I'm sorry - got them confused. I think you can just see the edge of it (the smaller triangular piece) in the picture I posted. Ears up and flat forward. The rotating piece rides inside the...

Re: 1939 pickup hood latch assembly question
