Re: 6 Volt LED bulbs

I just left the front turn signal bulbs as regular bulbs and all the rest LED's, and it works perfectly. That way, no need for load resistors, to make the turn signals work.

Same questions at bobH:

I don't see 'history' of system mentioned... Have the wheel cylinders been 'refreshed' recently? What if it's old and cruddy? What if the wheel cylinders were assembled...

Re: 97 carb hesitation

Keep the rebuild kit, in time you may need it. Keep the pump too, it has turned out to be a great teaching tool.

Re: 66 T-bird power seats Part II

Hopefully you have a multimeter. If so you can then just trace the tips of the three sets of plugs back to the relays. Then with the aid of a couple of jumper wires, you can figure out what relays...

Re: 66 T-bird power seats Part II

Looks like that was a 6 way seat with at least three relays, all operating from a single control switch. Looks like you need to set aside a block of time, with a multimeter. The good news is that you...

Re: Starting problem, help please.

I don't know what yours looks like but, see if you can jump the two terminals on the starter solenoid. This is where I put the tow clips for the hand held, remote starter button.

Re: Flathead engine assessment

Do a leak down test, to establish a base line.

Let it set idling and see if it over heats.

Take it out for drive around the neighborhood, and see if there are any issues. If there are none, then...

Re: Removing locking hubcaps, without key (1932)

If you can get it off without destroying it, remove the pins in the lock tumbler and then reassemble it, with out the pins, so you can then use any key or screwdriver to lock and unlock it.

I...

Re: '40 Ford LED Tail Lights

Did you try to hook them up to a battery, directly to see if they worked? Just wondering, if it is the bulb, or the socket?

The load resistor, is only a turn signal issue, not a basic function...
