Can I machine off the cup on the 37-39 60HP flywheel and redrill it to make it into a 1940 flat type flywheel for the 9 inch clutch? Thanks for the help.

Using an Impact wrench usually gets the bolts out for me without the need to hold the flywheel. Some of the new brushless cordless ones are amazing.

The fluid to be contained is from the end of the camshaft which is open to the back of the engine. No gasket equals a big leak.
