Post Re: Edsel transmission leak

That is a page from the FORD AT MANUAL. You can download off net, buy CD, buy old text and/or buy reprint.

Post Re: 460 eng pwr steering pump removal?

LINC and MARK went to a belt driven pump for the 1970/ model run just for reference.

Post Re: 460 eng pwr steering pump removal?

I think the OP is describing a crank driven pump, common to MEL (1958/ ) and continued on the 385 SERIES 460CI LINC install (1968/ ).

Question Re: 1956 Ford fairlane 4-dr rocker panel install

Let's try this one more time -

The OP has the body off the frame. It is not on a chassis plate or frame machine. Hopefully the body is square.

Being on a wooden support will in no way ensure...

Thumbs up Re: 460 eng pwr steering pump removal?

How in the world did you figure out he was describing a LINC engine with the limited information provided in the post?

Post Re: Question for Wagon and Delivery owners

If you notice in the ads ... they (USUAL SUSPECTS) say to enlarge the hole for wagons.

FORD did not service the inner bushings separately, they were included on the bar assy. One would have to...

Rethought ...

Diagonally. The body may seem strong but once you start cutting, it can trick you.

Post Re: 1956 Ford fairlane 4-dr rocker panel install

Cross bracing on door openings is a must. Do you have a tram gauge or good quality tape to measure door openings before cutting out and checking twice before/after tacking in?

Does it look as if...

Post Re: 1956 Ford fairlane 4-dr rocker panel install

OK, TOWN SEDAN.

On your stand, is the body supported on the mounting pads? The reason I'm asking is that to properly align the body, the actual mounting points on the body and frame supports have...

Post Re: 57 2 door ranch wagon

Yes. It has a high trim level similar to the FAIRLANE 500 and/or CUSTOM 300.

It was a continuation of the 1956 PARKLANE trim level, a response to the CHEV NOMAD/PONT SAFARI.

It just dawned on me what you are asking.

You shouldn't need a spring compressor on this style front suspension. A QUALITY floor jack is all you should need....

Post Re: 1955 T-bird coil spring removal and install

You know, removing/installing coil springs without engine weight can be tricky unless you have a way to chain the frame to the floor.

Would it be better to disassemble, do the needed work on the...

Question Re: 1955 T-bird coil spring removal and install

I am not quite sure what you are asking. If you are going to re-bush the control arms, all of that has to come out. How are you planning on removing the springs?

Post Re: Y Block Normal Vacuum w/mild Perf. Street Cam?

If you take off an old carb that hasn't been serviced somewhat recently, you may disturb the...
