Re: Learning how send pictures

I saw this car in either 1966 or 1967 in Maryville, TN. At that time, it belonged to one of the Coulter brothers, I think. Was 'specially assembled for a member of the Ford family.

Re: Identify Old picture of Model A

The 28-29 Fordors, and the 29 Carbiolets have a cowl similar to the 30-31's. Not like the 28-29 tudors, coupes, roadsters, and phaetons.

Re: That "Opportunity Knocks" Engine

I ran an engine for many years with a crack in that same location. Never did anything to it. It just oozed a bit, but never leaked enough to drip. Lasted until I knocked the center main out by...

Re: Brakes quiz!! ID the mistery system.

These "brake floaters" were available from JC Whitney and Warshawsky in in 1960's. I installed a set on my grandfather's coupe (now my coupe.) They didn't help one bit with worn out brakes! Removed...

Re: The early Floor board pedal plate

Gary is being modest. Look at the detail pictures of his very early '28 coupe in the Sept-Oct 2019 Model A News. On page 44 is a picture showing the early pedal plate.

An absolutely beautiful...

Re: Transmission dipstick kit

The transmission dip stick makes the level easy to check, but not so easy to correct. I had to try several funnels to get the right shape/size to use to fit through the floor board and to fill...

Thanks for posting this link (now taken down.) And thanks for the recommendation. I bought it.

Re: Any visual difference between cut out and electronic regulator?

My units from Fun Projects have a sticker on the bottom side. Take the "cutout" off the generator and see if it is marked or stickered on the bottom.

Re: 6V to 12V conversion

"While European cars were 12 volt from very early . . .."

My 1965 Volkswagen was 6 volts. I think the 1966 was still 6 volts, although I did not own a 1966, so I am not certain.

Re: EBAY 1929 Oval Window Coupe

I don't think it's a sport coupe. The photo of the interior side of the oval window seems to show the correct metal straps for the business coupe, not the sport coupe. Maybe someone more familiar...

The multi-position head/engine puller works best. It is not just for lifting the engine. It is a head puller that works by pulling against the studs. I'm not a good mechanic, but I can pull a...
