Re: Did you read the blog about the issues with the Judging Standards

Sounds like Judging Standards are fine to some people, as long as it fits THEIR standards:p

Re: 1930 Restored Roadster - eBay

I see that car has sold, and just from the looks of even the pictures it was well worth the money in my eye.

You may have missed a deal. Nice looking Roadster.

Re: Long distance buying

Sounds like that clown was not trustworthy anyway. You're better off.

I drove to Virginia once to buy an antique Ford. The seller was super nice, honest to a 'T'. He even went over the car with me...

Re: Weld and grind roller tracks

I've read these are good quality, from Bratton's. Made to Ford prints and properly heat treated may be another option for you.

Re: How Precision Engineers Created the Modern World

True, plus all of the lawsuits and the EPA and with the Big Three, the obscene salaries of the CEO's.

Toyota's CEO makes about 1/7th of the lady running GM. In America if you are a screw up in...

Re: Battery

Pretty much the same here via the wonders of Tom Wesenberg's EVR!! Running a stock long Autolite generator, and a Doc Kalinka original ammeter, she charges at about 2 amps, even when running with...

Re: Battery

Mitch on another Ford forum talked about 'de-sulfacating' batteries. It made perfect sense. I bought a 12V-- .75 amp--slow charge battery tender he recommended and I use it on the 12V cars that...

Re: Swap meet ad responses

The USA is getting more rude and nasty at a fast pace. Last 15 years or so I've really noticed a change. Internet sites can be brutal.

Not sure 'why' I'd guess lack of respect we are showing each...

Re: coker tire has sold out-mentioned on AACA

Who makes Goodyear tires for Model A's? I'm sure it's not Goodyear?

Does Kelsey down in Missouri make their own 'Goodyear tires'??

Re: Battery??

I saw a 6V Grant Batteries ad from the late 40's once and it said they had a 12 month guarantee. The Model A era was probably less than that I'm guessing, as a new Model A Ford had what, a 90 DAY...

Re: Battery??

I got a new 6V battery from Farm King last spring at $39. They last quite a long time. The one I was 'refreshing' was 6 years old and still going strong I put it in another car.

From what it...

Re: Model A Radials

Thanks for the pics Jason... those are fine looking tires.

I don't see radial tubes at Bratton's, should they be used with these tires or are the regulars OK?

In the 70's and early 80's there were 15 Model A Fords running around here, 13 of them restored and on the road,...

Re: New Member

Lot of truth in that. The '68 GT350 with a 4bbl. 302 rated at a paltry 250HP was a real dog. It didn't have enough power to even pass itself. That car was a real embarrassment for the program of...
