Is there a filter in the bowl? If so I suppose the fuel could bypass over the top if it is plugged.

Stuck or too high float level would cause an excess oil level by adding fuel to the oil and cause the carburetor problem with excess fuel coming out the exhaust. Have you been turning the tank...

Bad gas or no gas, new carb, rebuilt or whatever has nothing to do with the loss of compression. Me thinks a good review of 4 stroke engine operation is in order. Post 17 & 26 explains it all, ...

Looking at the top of the shackle it looks like your perch is probably worn beyond rebushing.

With good bushings and bolts in the perch and spring, the shackle will not allow the spring to touch...

Can't answer your question about that arm. I have found that a small bottle jack to be very helpful under the arm in positioning and holding it while adjusting.

Macs - how come

Lots of complaints about Macs. No matter which supplier is searched the first return that comes up is Macs with a 4 1/2 star rating. How does this happen when there is so much displeasure?

I use them and yes they are hard to get in. I noticed right away that the left headlight quit shaking and an overall smoothness. No exterior balance weights.
