Herm.

Re: Rear main seal options - which one?

Terry, I know a lot of Guys have had some bad luck with the seal, including me. I know you have to trim the O.D. so the seal part don't bubble up and leave a hole between the crank surface, and the...

Re: Rear main seal options - which one?

Well, we have used new Lock Washers, ( not China, ) but good ones, for 54 years, I have never had one break. Many Model A's that have come in over the years, have had only the Nuts on the main bolts,...

Re: Front Two Cylinders stopped firing

Check the wear in the distributor bushings. It can work good at firing, when the distributor is at rest, but when running, the shaft can wobble, and miss some cylinders. They work well, until they...

Re: Axle straightness, from another perspective.

We always straighten a Axle so it looks straight to the sight, and then align them.

Out of all the hundreds of axles we have aligned, in 54 years, we have never found a straight one good enough...

The Guy you referred to in your post, found a set of Model A shims, made with steel in a Ford Garage one time and came to his own conclusion that is what Ford used in his...
