Re: Yard sale "A" project

Terry, I've had some of your pics on my computer for quite a while now. I like the one with you sitting in the car when it was red primer, blue paint and a little rust. I look forward to seeing pics...

Re: Yard sale "A" project

I like your positive attitude.

I guess we all are at different skill levels when it comes to restoring a car. Some of us may have more tools, more free time, more money, a better shop and more...

Re: Yard sale "A" project

Re: Yard sale "A" project

So, the rear fenders I have fit the coupe, roadster, pickup AND 4 door ? ...or do they not go with the parts I have... that is, they don't fit the "car" I have ?

How about the front fenders...are...

Re: Yard sale "A" project

I see how a restoration would cost more than the finished project would be worth.

There is a decent looking 4 door near me that has been looking for a new owner for a long time now...I'd have...

Re: Yard sale "A" project

I forgot to post up the serial number from the frame.

*A37903379*

The frame is very nice so the numbers are very legible. The 03 in the middle, between the 379's, are over stamped...3 over 0...

Yard sale "A" project

I found this at a local yard sale recently and I have questions.

This was represented as a 1931 Ford Town Sedan. I think the previous owner had it since the 1980's as a project that never...

Re: Rebuilding acetylene regulators

There is a non-flammable/Oxygen safe assembly grease available from Regulator rebuild shops and Scuba regulator shops also. Safe to use in a high pressure oxygen environment.

21" Wheels value

I would like to get a general idea what average condition used 21" wheels would be worth. He has 5 of them and they would need refinishing. Thanks.

Scrap Yard Engine Blocks

A local scrap metals facility has several bare "A" engine blocks and cranks for sale. These are in the open and surface rusty but not heavily pitted. I think they are priced at .18 cents a pound. I...

Re: AA Frame 157" straightening

Perhaps you could take it to a Blacksmith. Put the "horn" end over the furnace until red hot and then quickly move it to an anvil and pound on it. Repeat until straight.

If the horns are...

Re: New guy with Model A Chassis and engine

It may be "A4" , these two digits are very near to the body mount hole and hard to read. The number stamping seems sloppy on both the engine and the body. Shouldn't there be only a maximum of 7...
