Re: Scammers upping their game

It is rampant. FB is too worried about censoring speech to police this stuff. I got scammed for $200 a couple of months ago on FB. Beware of someone posting pics of a car saying to contact for parts...

Re: Fancy a ride in Richard's F1 pickup? Come on then, hop in!

Hey Mart, I figured after driving Richard's F-1 you'd show uo with a torch to "adjust" the shift lever. I'd be cursing that thing every time I shufted into second! Great job on that flatty!

Re: 54 victoria crestline

Probably some stuck valves. I'd pull the heads to investigate. You can put mervel mystery oil in the cylinders and soak for a few days then try to turn with breaker bar. Don't use the starter , you...

Re: 1949 ford flathead v8

I'm not a converible owner but pretty sure the hydraulic pump/motor is on driver's side firewall on 49-50 Fords. It's pretty hard to miss. Should also be some hydraulic lines going across the...

Re: 49-53 ford control arm shaft and nut refurbish

These can easily be found on ebay. Not just Chinese repros but original moog, etc. They are same for 49-43.

Re: Part 8 of Mart's gearbox swap. First trial fit!

Mart, there havr been so many twists and turns to this swap that I think the only way you could chronicle it is through your videos. Wow, you sure are resourceful!

Re: Car runs great without oil bath air cleaner.

I put a modern one in my 52 merc. Just make sure you allow for enough airflow when choosing a filter.

Re: 1954 Mercury Fuel Issue

I use an electric pump in my 52 merc to prime the teapot carb. I also have a 51 Ford with a 302 and an edelbrock 4bbl that does the same thing. An electric pump helps freatly.
