Re: Dayum.. Just found a pan rail crack.

Nice work Mart.
I think that that weld will hold up just fine. I used high nickel content rods to weld up a crack in our cast iron boiler in the wood burner. You can weld these with no pre heat and...

Re: 2013 Moonshine Festival

Love the pics, that black 36 coupe is just plain gorgeous.
It's great to see the roads all filled with period cars rather than them just parked up in rows on a showfield. Great to see them being...

Re: broken axle

I had this problem a few years back. I had a 27T rod with a french flathead and stock three speed 39 box and rear end. Whilst driving to work one morning a drunk driver lost control on a bend and...

Re: 39 coupe starter motor problems

Hey Jim, as Fordscript says what leads are you using ? The new modern leads aren't any good for 6 volt systems. They can't carry the loads and overheat almost instantly. Bev's pilot has a modern...

Re: 1939 coupe build- slow

Hey Henry, I too have resurrected a car which ultimately would have ended up as scrap I think. It is a 1937 Zephyr coupe, a very desirable car, but it seems way to far gone for most people to tackle....

Hey Jim, good to hear from you. Sounds like you also have your hands full. Would love to catch up and maybe see your zephyr at some time. I think that's three 37 coupes I know of over here now.

Hey guys,
Wow I can only apologise for not keeping this thread up dated. Due to issues with registering the zephyr over here and the amount of work I ended up having to do in a very short space of...

Hey Robert, that is some very nice work that you did on the floor pans. I don't think it's more trouble than needed at all. The end result looks as good as the day it left the factory and if that was...

Haven't updated progress on here lately (sorry about that, it's normally pretty late time I get in from the workshop so don't have a load of time.), so I will catch up a bit. Have got quite a bit...
