Yes, that makes sense. It has been blasted and the threads chased. I looks really dry and I remember how hard the old one was to get out.

Is it a good idea or a bad one to put a little anti-sieze on the secondary well threads before screwing it in. Will it help later in possible future repairs or rebuilds?
